Howard I. Abrams In-Home Care Program 2023
For nearly thirty years, the Howard I. Abrams In-Home Care Program of ALS United Mid-Atlantic has enabled ALS patients to stay in their homes by providing professional caregiving assistance. Because of your generosity, our program delivered more than 16,000 hours of in-home care last year. THANK YOU!
“She is my rock,” is how Mary Barket of Lehigh Valley, PA, describes her in-home caregiver, Jessica. The organization funds Jessica’s services while she assists Mary with meal preparation, personal care, exercises, and other activities, all of which are key to Mary staying in her home.
In-home care services are possible because donors like you realize the importance of every ALS patient’s dignity and comfort. Mary can continue to live on her own and remain an advocate for herself and others with ALS: “It’s my core mission to help the greater community.”
