ALS United Mid-Atlantic Book Club
May 6 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Welcome to our virtual Book Club, a welcoming space for people with ALS, caregivers, family, friends, volunteers, and staff to connect, share ideas, and enjoy the joy of reading together. This book club is all about community, conversation, and exploring engaging stories.
We will gather over Zoom to discuss a carefully selected book that sparks thoughtful conversation while remaining inclusive and approachable. To ensure a comfortable environment for everyone, books with overtly adult content, topics about ALS, or politically charged themes will not be included in our selections. Our focus is on enjoyable and enriching content that brings people together rather than divides them.
For this book club meeting, we’ll be reading Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt.
Whether you are a lifelong reader or just looking for a friendly space to discover new stories, this book club is a chance to connect with others, share perspectives, and enjoy meaningful conversation.
To attend the first Book Club session, please complete the RSVP form below. Once your RSVP is received, we’ll send you an email closer to the date with the Zoom link and all the details you’ll need to join the discussion.
This ensures everyone has a spot in our virtual gathering and can easily participate in our friendly, engaging conversations about the month’s book. Don’t miss the chance to connect with fellow staff, volunteers, people with ALS, and caregivers in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
