ALS United Mid-Atlantic hosts resource groups throughout our service region to create a welcoming, supportive space for people affected by ALS. These groups bring together people living with ALS, caregivers, family members, and friends to connect with others who understand their journey. Resource groups offer opportunities to share personal experiences, exchange practical information, and learn helping coping strategies in a respectful and compassionate environment.

Resource groups are offered free of charge and are facilitated to encourage conversation, mutual encouragement, and community connection. Whether participants are newly diagnosed, caregivers, or family members seeking understanding and support, our resource groups provide meaningful opportunities to learn, connect, and find strength together.

ALS United Mid-Atlantic also provides comprehensive care service programs to support people living with ALS and their families. These programs include durable medical equipment loans, education, and a dedicated social worker. To learn more about ALS United Mid-Atlantic’s programs, reach out to Steve Spaulding, MA, at Steve@alsmidatlantic.org.
