A gorgeous day at Longwood Gardens

ALS United Mid-Atlantic’s annual Luncheon at Longwood Gardens brought together people with ALS and their families for a beautiful day. This year, we welcomed a record number of attendees, with over 300 people coming together for this wonderful event!

Once families arrived at the beautiful Longwood Gardens, the staff and volunteers from ALS United Mid-Atlantic were there to welcome them. As our staff shared the details of the day and lunch schedules, families received a complimentary T-shirt and a pair of ALS United sunglasses.

Set amid the stunning beauty of Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA, this event allowed families to appreciate the vibrant sights of blooming flowers. As everyone took in the gorgeous scenery, we served a delicious catered lunch, providing an opportunity for families to connect with social workers and our compassionate staff nurses.

“The Luncheon at Longwood Gardens was such a wonderful day, filled with joy and laughter,” said Carla Patton, Event Manager. “It was uplifting to see so many families enjoying the beautiful flowers and spending time together, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you to everyone who attended this year’s event; it was a joy to meet you.”

ALS United Mid-Atlantic hosts several ALS Family Events throughout the year—completely free of charge—so ALS families can create beautiful memories together. A heartfelt thank you to all our amazing volunteers who make these special events possible! Your support makes a profound difference.
