May is ALS Awareness Month and you can make a difference. This month, we will highlight facts about ALS, recent scientific breakthroughs, and vital public policy initiatives. We will shine a light on the invaluable care service programs provided by ALS United Mid-Atlantic and the impact they have on patients and families.
Each year, ALS United Mid-Atlantic serves over 1,200 people with ALS in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. Your stories motivate our work every single day. We will share these stories throughout ALS Awareness Month.
Your commitment to raising awareness and support is crucial. Together, we can provide help and hope to the ALS community. Thank you for being an essential part of this mission. Let’s unite to end ALS.

Participate in ALS Advocacy
Sharing your connection to ALS in person, over the phone, in an email, or even in a letter can help educate and mobilize our elected officials to take action! Our ALS Advocates help change the laws and policies that affect all people with ALS and their families every single year. Our elected officials in Congress and state legislatures need to hear from you about the importance of funding ALS research and care programs and improving life for families living with ALS.

Wear ALS United Mid-Atlantic Gear
Proudly wear your ALS United Mid-Atlantic t-shirts, hats, or bracelets throughout the month.

Whether you go to the grocery store or a restaurant, you never know who might be curious about your gear! They could ask questions about what ALS means or how they can contribute to the cause. By sharing your knowledge and passion, you can encourage others to get involved, whether through fundraising, volunteering, or raising awareness. Remember, it only takes one conversation to spark interest and create a ripple effect of positive change in the community. So wear your gear proudly and let’s spread the word together!
Go the extra step and share your photos and videos with your ALS United Mid-Atlantic gear and tag @alsmidatlantic. Add your reason for supporting ALS care and research in your post to amplify our message.

Together, we can make progress for ALS care, research, and advocacy. When more people participate in ALS awareness, it brings attention to the need to better fund these programs and it educates others about the services available to them. ALS Awareness Month is the perfect opportunity for YOU to make an impact for the ALS cause in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware or anywhere in the world.
