The Ashley Fund

Established in 2011 by a family friend in memory of Danny Dascanio, whose daughter, Ashley, was profoundly impacted by the presence of ALS in her family. The Ashley Fund helps to “lighten the load” of ALS families with children on a case by case basis.

For families navigating the challenges of ALS, these programs are truly a lifeline, offering comfort, guidance, and practical solutions that improve daily life and ease the burden of care.

Each year, the organization invests in cutting-edge research projects aimed at better understanding ALS and developing new treatments. In recent years, research efforts have focused on supporting local scientists and institutions, strengthening innovation right here in our region.
