ALS United Mid-Atlantic Represented at NEALS 2025

The 2025 Northeast ALS Consortium (NEALS) Annual Meeting took place from October 7–10 in Clearwater, Florida, bringing together top minds in ALS research, care, and advocacy. ALS United Mid-Atlantic was proud to be well represented at this important event.

Jerry Dawson joined (L-R) Sheri Strahl from ALS Network; Zachary Simmons, MD, from Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center; and Kristen Cocoman from ALS United Greater New York.

Jerry Dawson, President and CEO of ALS United, had the opportunity to connect with key local leaders from our region, including Piera Pasinelli, PhD, of the Jefferson Weinberg ALS Center; Zachary Simmons, MD, of Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center; and the dedicated team from Lehigh Valley Health Network. Their work continues to advance critical ALS research and comprehensive care for people living with the disease.

Jerry also met with Greg Petry, a person living with ALS from Pennsylvania, whose voice and experience help guide and inspire the ALS community.

The ALS Treatment Center team from Lehigh Valley Health Network gathered at NEALS to show off their expertise.

ALS United partners from across the country, including ALS United Greater New York and ALS Network, were also in attendance, demonstrating the power of collaboration in the fight against ALS.
