Over the past decade, Alair has grown alongside ALS United Mid-Atlantic, bringing warmth, expertise, and unwavering dedication to supporting people with ALS and their families. Her impact is felt every day, and we are so grateful for her compassion and commitment.

Since joining the team, Dr. Altiero has focused on nurturing the emotional and psychological well-being of our community. She provides counseling, guidance, and coping strategies to people living with ALS and their loved ones, helping them navigate a journey that can be challenging and unpredictable. Working hand-in-hand with the interdisciplinary care team, she ensures that mental health is a cornerstone of holistic patient care.
