Jayne Etskovitz, MSW, LSW, has been a dedicated part of the ALS United Mid-Atlantic team for 10 wonderful years. As a social worker, Jayne is passionate about supporting people with ALS and their families.
When someone with ALS reaches out to ALS United Mid-Atlantic, they are greeted with warmth and support from a social worker. It is a comforting first step, and over time, these connections really flourish into meaningful relationships. As trust grows, Jayne is there to help families with care planning, navigating entitlements, and providing emotional support, so they always feel heard and understood. Her mission is to create a welcoming space where families know they are not alone on their journey. Open and compassionate communication can truly make all the difference, and Jayne is here to make sure everyone feels that support every step of the way.
Jayne not only supports families in the Philadelphia area and Southern New Jersey but also leads the Online Lunchtime Caregiver Resource Group. This group is a welcoming space where caregivers can connect, share their experiences, and feel understood by others who are on a similar journey. Being a caregiver can be tough and having a community of people who truly get what you’re going through can be incredibly comforting and uplifting!
Recently, Jayne sat down with Tony Heyl, ALS United Mid-Atlantic’s Director of Communication and Public Policy, to discuss her work as a social worker.
ALS United Mid-Atlantic is grateful for everything Jayne has done to support people with ALS and their families.
