Donate Equipment

Thank you for considering a donation of medical equipment or communication devices to ALS United Mid-Atlantic. Your generosity helps us support individuals living with ALS who are uninsured, underinsured, and/or do not have the financial means to obtain essential equipment on their own. Donations play a vital role in improving quality of life, safety, and independence for those affected by ALS throughout our service area.

Due to a recent influx of equipment donations and limited storage capacity, we are currently only accepting donations from individuals living with ALS who are actively served by ALS United Mid-Atlantic, or from those inquiring on their behalf. If you meet these criteria, please complete the Equipment Donation Questionnaire below. A member of our staff will review your submission and contact you shortly to discuss next steps. At this time, we are unfortunately unable to accept equipment donations from other sources, as we must prioritize current patient needs and storage limitations.

In addition to our equipment loan program, ALS United Mid-Atlantic hosts a private Equipment Donation and Exchange Facebook group exclusively for our ALS patients and families. This group provides a space for individuals to post equipment they wish to donate or sell directly to others in the ALS community.

Please note: In order to receive a tax credit for the fair market value of donated items valued at more than $5,000, an appraisal conducted by a licensed or certified appraiser must be completed prior to equipment pickup.
