At ALS United Mid‑Atlantic, Named Funds offer a meaningful way for donors to honor or memorialize a loved one while supporting programs that directly benefit people living with ALS and their families. A Named Fund allows contributions to be designated in someone’s name, creating a lasting legacy that reflects personal values and impacts the ALS community in a purposeful way. Gifts to these funds help sustain comprehensive care services, advocacy, education, and research initiatives that empower individuals facing ALS and those who care for them. Named Funds are fueled by both the desire to remember someone special and the commitment to advancing the mission of ALS United Mid‑Atlantic, providing a powerful connection between donor intent and real‑world impact.
Over the years, this program has generated millions of dollars in dedicated support, enabling families to access vital resources and helping to expand the reach of services across the region. By establishing or contributing to a Named Fund, donors not only preserve the memory of someone they care about, but also strengthen a network of support that brings hope, dignity, and improved quality of life to people affected by ALS. Whether gifts are unrestricted or targeted toward a specific area of interest, Named Funds allow individuals, families, and communities to make a meaningful contribution to the cause.
